After weeks of negotiations, President Trump recently signed a $2 trillion dollar bipartisan stimulus plan known as the CARES Act. This Act is the largest emergency aid package in U.S. history aimed to support the millions of American households affected by the coronavirus pandemic. One well publicized element of the Act includes making direct economic impact payments (stimulus checks) to many Americans.
